Point-to-point and Point-to-multipoint CDMA Access Network with Enhanced Security

چکیده
We propose a network implementation with enhanced security at the physical layer by means of time-hopping CDMA, supporting cryptographically secure point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communication. In particular, we analyze an active star topology optical network implementation capable of supporting 128 simultaneous users up to 20 km apart. The feasibility of the proposed scheme is demonstrated through numerical simulation. keywords: optical fiber communication, access networks, secure communication, CDMA

A CDMA Secure Optical Access Network
We propose a CDMA network implementation that enhances security at the physical layer. By using an active star topology supporting both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communication, 128 ONUs can transmit simultaneously at rates of at least 12 Mbps, with a reach of 20 km, thus addressing access network applications. Numerical simulations demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme...

WiMAX is the next generation technology that offers broadband wireless access over long distances. As WiMAX standards expand from considering a fixed line-of-sight propagation and point-to-multipoint infrastructure high frequency system to a lower frequency non-line-of-sight mobile system, WiMAX is open to more security threats than other wireless systems. This paper presents the different secu...
متن کاملNew Fixed Point Attacks on GOST2 Block Cipher
GOST block cipher designed in the 1970s and published in 1989 as the Soviet and Russian standard GOST 28147-89. In order to enhance the security of GOST block cipher after proposing various attacks on it, designers published a modified version of GOST, namely GOST2, in 2015 which has a new key schedule and explicit choice for S-boxes. In this paper, by using three exactly identical portions of ...
متن کاملBroadcasting XORs: On the Application of Network Coding in Access Point-to-Multipoint Networks
We investigate network coding (NC) in access point-to-multipoint (PMP) broadcast networks. Characterized by a shared unicast upstream channel and a time-shared broadcast downstream channel, PMP networks are widely deployed in optical and wireless access networks. We develop a queuing-theoretic model of NC at the medium access control (MAC) sublayer and analyze the impact of NC on packet delay. ...
متن کاملOptimized UTRAN Topology Planning Including Point-to-Multipoint Equipment
Network optimization strategies are core ingredients of radio access network planning for second and third generation mobile systems like GSM and UMTS. We present a combined approach for network topology optimization of the UMTS terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN) which considers the logical network structure as well as transport network aspects. We focus on including Point-to-Multipoint (...
